Install OrderPing
Install OrderPing from the Shopify App Store, approve the requested permissions, and land on the dashboard — ready to connect WhatsApp.
1. Install from the App Store
Open the OrderPing listing on the Shopify App Store and click Add app. You’ll be taken to your Shopify admin to authorize the install.
orderping.kri-labs.com is also a direct-install URL during the embedded auth flow.
2. Permissions requested
OrderPing asks for the minimum scopes needed for COD confirmation and lifecycle messaging. You’ll see these on the Shopify install screen:

read_orders | Detect COD orders as they come in and read order details for lifecycle messages. |
write_orders | Add COD-Confirmed / COD-Cancelled / COD-Unconfirmed tags and cancel unconfirmed orders when auto-cancel is on. |
read_fulfillments | Send “Shipped” and “Delivered” notifications when fulfillments update. |
read_returns | Trigger the “Returned” lifecycle stage when a return is requested. |
read_customers | Resolve customer name and phone for templates. |
read_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders | Detect shipping progress for merchants on Merchant-Managed Fulfillment. |
3. First launch
Once you click Install app, OrderPing lands you on the dashboard. A fresh install starts on the Free plan (30 confirmations per month) so you can set up and test without entering payment details.
You’ll see three setup prompts on the dashboard:
- Connect your WhatsApp Business account.
- Pick and approve your first template with Meta.
- Enable the COD confirmation lifecycle stage.
